Víctor René Martínez is a Cuban-American director and writer from Austin, Texas with a passion for character-focused stories, multicultural perspectives, and a profound love of live theatre, music, and all kinds of performance.

His experience studying Film Production at Chapman University and working in a vast range of roles on various-sized productions during his time there and since then has been essential in cementing his love of community, creativity, and collaboration.

He aims to continue to express vulnerability in his storytelling, making honest work that dives into the parts of ourselves that we can only begin to understand through art. For him, filmmaking is about exploration and discovery and he hopes to continue learning more about himself and others through every project that finds its way to him.
